Hi all,

The previous message announcing our next FSWG meeting contained a bad link to the reading; you can find the relevant excerpts from On Revolution here: https://fswg.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/arendton-revolution-intro-chs161.pdf

Sorry for the clutter in your inboxes.

Weds, Feb. 24 @ 5:15pm: Arendt on revolution

10 Feb

Dear all,

Please join us for the next Frankfurt School Working Group meeting, at which we’ll consider thoughts on revolution by that representative of “the Right” (according to T. Adorno), Hannah Arendt. For Wednesday, Feb. 24, please focus on the introduction and first chapter of On RevolutionAssuming the group is interested in continuing, we will discuss chapter 6, in which Arendt talks about council systems and spontaneity, at the meeting that follows, which is tentatively scheduled for the next week on Tuesday, March 1.

We’ll meet at 5:15pm in 450 Wheeler hall, with food and drink to complement the conversation.

all best,

Sheri & Erin
