FSWG: Adorno & Marcuse Correspondence – Tuesday, Feb 2 @ 5:15pm

29 Jan

Dear all,

We hope you’ll join us this coming Tuesday, Feb 2, at 5:15pm in Wheeler Hall 450 for our first conversation of the semester. Our subject is the correspondence between Theodor Adorno and Herbert Marcuse on the German Student Movement – perhaps we’ll consider┬átheir remarks in relation to contemporary movements on college campuses and their reception among academics, the press, etc. We’ll also solicit feedback on our projected reading for the semester; if you cannot join us on Tuesday but wish to suggest something for the group to consider together, please email us.

As always, we’ll bring some wine and snacks, and folks new to the group (and/or to the Frankfurt School) are warmly welcome. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

yours,

Sheri & Erin

First meeting of spring (survey)

25 Jan

Dear friends and members of the Frankfurt School Working Group,

Happy new year! We hope you’re all doing well and looking forward, like us, to a spring of good Frankfurtish conversation. As at the start of last semester, we would appreciate it if you would fill out this form – http://goo.gl/forms/Fs55oK6KPS – to indicate what days and times you would be able to join us. We’ll be in touch again soon with information about the first meeting. Please forward this message to anyone you think might enjoy our meetings.

In the meantime, all best,

Sheri & Erin
